My F model 1800 has factory tach, its spot on 3000 rpm at 70 in 5th gear. You can do 70 in 3rd, but as previously stated your rev Limiter wouldn't let you do it in second. The 1800 sounds more wound up than it is, I think it has something to do with the dual pin crank.
