But where do they all go? Most birds are diurnal, which means they're most active during the day, especially early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Like humans who are active during the day, most birds spend their nighttime hours with one goal in mind: sleep.

A tiny bird landed near Patricia. 'Hello,' he chirped. 'Hello, hello.' Patricia shook her head, she couldn't make a sound. But she was past that now. 'Hello,' she said.

And thank all the birds in the sky, she sounded like just another bird gossiping.— All the Birds in the Sky, page 99All the Birds in the Sky is set in the near-future and is about Patricia and Laurence, a and a. Patricia discovers, when she is six, that she has magical abilities, like talking to birds – but she has no control over it and cannot summon it at will. Laurence, from a young age, invents gadgets, makes a two second time machine out of a watch, and later builds a supercomputer in his bedroom. Patricia and Laurence both attend the same junior high school where they discover each other after being ostracized by other children for being too strange.Their time at school, however, does not last long and they soon become separated.

Patricia runs away after being accused of, and with the help of a bird, becomes one and flies away; she is intercepted by a magician who enrolls her in a school for witches. Laurence is sent to a military by his parents for his non-conforming behavior.Ten years later, the adult Patricia and Laurence bump into each other again at a party. Patricia is now a witch who can control and use her magical abilities, and has joined a. Laurence had escaped the reform school and now is part of a of like-minded geeks building a generator. Patricia and Laurence keep in touch, but their divergent philosophies strain their relationship. All of this happens against the backdrop of a deteriorating world, which is beset by superstorms, earthquakes and wars that destroy cities and destabilize countries.

It is the beginning of the Unraveling. This leads to a showdown between science and magic, which jeopardizes Patricia and Laurence's relationship. The story ends with the pair reconciling their differences and combining science and magic to stop the Unraveling. Background Anders' first novel, Choir Boy, was published in 2005. Most of it was written in 2001, and she described it as 'very weird literary' fiction.

Morrowind where are all the birds going back

After that she worked on several novels, including All the Birds in the Sky, but it was not until her science fiction novelette ' won her a, that she realized what readers were after, and focused on All the Birds. In a 2016 interview in the science fiction book podcast, Anders said that, whereas the other books she was working on 'felt like something that other people could have written', All the Birds 'felt like something only I could have written.' She spent most of 2011 working on the book.

Acquired All the Birds in the Sky in March 2014, with publication planned for 2015.Earlier drafts of the novel included aliens and an evil wizard. Anders recalled she 'overstuffed it with genre elements' to the extent that it became 'a kind of genre spoof'. But it was around the sixth draft she decided to make it about a witch and a mad scientist, Patricia and Laurence. Initially they were to be rivals, using science and magic to fight each other, but Anders realized it would work better if they were friends. She said it was the relationship she had created in 'Six Months, Three Days' that made her decide to make All the Birds in the Sky a 'relationship story'.

Anders cited 's (2008) and 's (2011) as inspiration for the Patricia and Laurence sections of the novel. Reception In a review in, science fiction critic James Wallace Harris described All the Birds in the Sky as 'three weddings: a marriage of science fiction and fantasy. Genre and literary.' He said Anders manages this 'with a light touch, producing a novel that is a joy to read, yet is as deep as you're willing to dig.' Writing in, described the novel as a blend of, and —'a little bit of science fiction, a little bit of fantasy, and a hell of a lot of fun'. He added that Anders is 'an important new voice in genre fiction', and that this book 'marks a brave, genre-bending debut that, as satisfying as it is, perhaps hints at even more greatness to come.' Michael Berry wrote in the that Anders' mix of science fiction and fantasy with a should satisfy readers of each of these genres.

He said the novel is 'clearly something special' that 'walks the line between quirky and the cutesy', but is level-headed enough to compensate for the 'whimsical aspects' of the story. In a review in the New York Journal of Books, novelist and editor Samantha Holloway called the novel 'such a neat book' in the way it can be simultaneously 'terrible and dangerous' and 'beautiful and charming'; the way it tackles 'heavy themes' like fate, free will and ecological disaster, yet appears to be 'dancing with them rather than wrestling'; and the way it simply does not 'take itself too seriously'.

Holloway said Anders' 'gift for dialogue and description' makes the 'weirdness. Visceral and plausible.' In a review in, wrote that while stories blending science fiction and fantasy are often about science versus magic, and their outcome is generally predictable, All the Birds in the Sky 'is one of the most surprising novels I’ve read this year', and on the whole, 'one of the most delightful'. He said Anders pulls it off with 'something as simple as '. The first part is 'an absolutely terrific YA novel', achieved by 'masterful, wacky, and sometimes hilarious control of tone'; later it 'gets a bit wobbly from time to time' as the story moves from 'fixing a relationship to fixing the world', but at this point 'Anders has pretty much sold us on the sheer likeability of her flawed characters'.

Writing on the website, Richard Webb found the book's plot generally 'well-paced and compelling', and commended the 'beautiful imagery' in Anders' prose. But the 'YA-to-adult-orientated romance' underlying the main plot did not work quite as well. Webb felt that Patricia and Laurence's relationship 'played out against the well-worn 'doomed love' of their diametrically-opposed schooling', and that their reunion appeared to be a 'plot contrivance' that had 'a sense of inevitability to it'. Morrowind Where Are All The Birds Going To Buy

Recently I was trying different distant land settings and managed to break MGSO completely.Decided that the simplest thing to do would to be start over fresh and try out some new mods at the same time and i figured rather than hunting for for them myself i thought i might ask the community what I should try out.First and foremost it has to be MGSO compatable, so exclude any suggestions like Balmora Expanded which makes some major terrain alterations. I also want to try to keep things as stable as possible.

A crash every now and then is acceptable, so long as it dosent predictably crash every 5 mintues.Apart from that Im open to suggestions, city improvements, crafting mods, new gameplay elements, lore friendly/semi lore friendly creatures. I wont get too picky so long there arnt any dragons flying around red mountain.I would also like to hear some gimmicks to adhere to while playing and feel free to go crazy with these. If you want me to jump out of my seat and spin in circles untill i fall down from being dizzy every time a cliff racer attacks me say so. I haven't touched a mod for a few years, so I won't be very specific about it butThere was a very cool Scenic travels mod, that let you watch in real time as you use travel services (OR speed it up, or skip if you got bored of the feature)I also liked installing the basic needs kind of mods.

There was one that overhauled survival in Morrowind without being too disruptive and without adding too many items. (But do not remember the name)It only required player to eat regularlybut it added skills like Herbalism, fishing, skinning, gutting animals and a few more. All of these had to be checked by a special scroll, but they were legitimate skills. So you started out with 5 fishing, and were terrible at it, but as you patiently kept fishin' you really leveled fishing up and got better at it.I would also look for some kind of inn mod, that makes them more important, and expensive.

Pretty sure I saw a mod like that, but again been a few years. There was also a crafting mod, that let you not only craft basic items, but also take on contracts, and you had to create X of items before the time ran out.Well, that's about what I remember. Hope it's been of some help.Edit:Oh yeah, there was a cool guild master mod, but it kinda filled your chat boxes with tons of commands, that was pretty annoying. So watch out for it you decicde to search for it.Also there was cool necromancy mod, you had to build your skeleton from scratch finding all kinds of bones for him to be complete. When you managed with all searching and sacrifices you got a skeleton companion you could order around a bit. Originally posted by:I also liked installing the basic needs kind of mods. No skills though. Unfortunately it alwayse bugged me having to go someplace special just to cook food and mod playerhouses that come with 'kitchens' are for the most part wernt built for NoM and they dont work as fires/stoves etc. The few that do get broken by MGSO.The senic travels mod sounds interesing so I'll look into that. Nah, it ceretainly wasn't NoM.I tried to find this mod, but I can't. Nexus is also only tracking history back to 2010, or maybe that's when I made an account, I surely used this site for quite long time dowloading Oblivion mods before I made an account.

Anyhow the hisotry isn't very helpful in this case.I'm afraid it may have been removed from wherever I have dowloaded this mod. That's a real shame. Well will try to search for it a bit more, but I think it would already came up. (It also may have been hosted on planet, which I think is closed by now).

Wyre Mash comes with a file that you can use to 'NoMify' any mod. It's explained in its readme. It replaces all the relevant items in any mod you use it on with NoM versions. I might give that a try but for now I want to stick with mods I havent tried before. So far i have decided on using:Non Homocidal ecosystem, because the sound given to Nix Hounds in MGSO scares the crap outa me when i dont see them coming.Clear your name, because I think for once im not going to be a part of the Thieves guild.Epic Balmora and Epic Ald RuhnThere a few others im considering but havent decided on yet.

Still hoping for some suggestions from you guys. Well I am not sure which mods you've done before and which you haven't. And the vast majority of the mods I use do tiny things like fix issues or add tiny new features I wanted. But I'll give it a shot.Have you tried The Undead? It adds a whole bunch of new undead enemies to tombs based on enemies found in the rest of the TES franchise. It gives them more variety so exploring them isn't always the same.Using companions can be an interesting new experience. The best ones I've found are Constance and Julan Ashlander companion.

I've tried many others and they all have various issues with them that make them problematic or irritating. But those two are great.I also suggest the mods by Abot like the ones that add birds and fish. It makes it feel more like a real place and meshes very well with the added ambient sounds in MGSO.For atmosphere enhancement I also really like Children of Morrowind, Animated Morrowind, Less Generic NPC, and Morrowind Comes Alive. They're lore friendly and makes everything feel like a real place. Abot has a mod on his website that gives MCA NPCs with generic names lore-friendly full names.

Well I tried a lot of them. The only humanoid ones I really liked were the two I mentioned. Every other major humanoid companion mod I didn't like. I'd suggest Grumpy's Packguar mod. There's an expansion to it on Nexus that lets you buy it (before you had to use the console to get it). Best packguar mod for the game. Other animal companion mods were unsatisfying or too easily killed by accident.

Lulu, the name of the packguar, will stay out of the way and is hard to kill as it is.Here they are:The mod to make the packguar purchaseable:You might want to change Constance's head. The one included is ugly. There is one very notable armor and weapon set that fits the lore well that I think is perfect for Constance. Here:I tried every single companion mod on Emma's site and those were the only ones I ended up thinking were worth keeping.

They're very good. It feels like a Dragon Age group to me. Myself, two companions, and an animal like the dog in Origins (that I always named Barkspawn after the joke name from that comic). If you use Constance and Julan, and abot's real time transport mods, his site has patches that let those two function with them. The only dedicated companion mods to have that from him.Any other compaion mod you can find that isn't on that site probably is going to have issues. Special Slave Companions was functional but it doesn't exactly pass the lore-friendly requirement.

Merging Leveled Lists. Copy 'Mashed Lists.esp' from the mopyExtras folder to your Data Files folder. Select the mods you want to load from the Mods tab. Right click on 'Mashed Lists.esp' in the Mods tab and select 'Import: Merged Lists'. For more information, see.# Import Merged Lists.Dosent tell me waht to do after merging the list what to do with Mashedlists.esp etc. Yeah, I know it's poorly documented.Enable Mashed Lists.esp.

That will be your mod for merged leveled list. WyreMash should keep it loading last, but check to make sure it is. Yeah i checked that, nothing i can do besides renaming it will move it down the list on the Plugins list(which is probably a bad idea). Wyre mash suggested editing the date so i set it to this year and said to hell with it:PAdded abots water life and birds mod to my list, there actyually rather nice.

Water life even added a fishing skill though im not quite sure how it works yet, ill figure it out at some point.Since it also adds more hostiels to the water it also plays on my fear of the Open ocean. Granted morrowinds oceans arnt all that deep but it still is enough to trigger some anxiety on par with what i get in any game where you can stare down into the watery abyss. The list so far:Abot Water life, Clear your name, No arrow weight, Non Homocidal ecosystem (kinda wondering if this might conflict with Water life by making sharks passive), The Undead, Where are all the birds going.Im definatly going to re ad the alchemy mod i used to use because its just too damn handy to live without even if its an absolute chore to setup.Fun Fact about Abot Water life. I figured 'eh morrowinds easy enough, lets set dificulty up to 100. The caracter i decided to go with is an argonian with a screwball skill set with my current max weapon skill being spears at 25.Wanted to see the fish (and whack a few) and nearly got oneshot by a Very small Napoleon Fish (Humhead Wrasse).Thankfully a pair of Red snappers came to my rescue. Interesting mod definately enjoying it allready. And because im too cheap to pay for a bed at the inn i broke into Fargoths house and used his bed to regain health. Or i would of.

If it wernt for the Dark brotherhood assasin that decided to pester me on Day 1.Now im gona go get the mod that delays their attacks till your a ways into the main quest.:3. If you are using MGSO and find it hard seeing the ground at night, Landscape Retexture by Lougian, which is just ground textures, uses better quality textures that happen to be easier to see in the dark.If you want to improve upon the textures in MGSO, do an author search for Darknut or Lougian. The only other mod I really use is Speed and Stamina Tweaked. The mod marginally increases your swimming, waterwalking, base running speed and jumping height, so you can move around a little faster starting out.

It is only a small increase. The best part of this mod is that it also decreases your stamina alot less while running or swimming, so you can travel at running speed longer before getting tired. The reason is that since you drain stamina slower while running/swimming, it means you will have higher weapon accuracy when you are randomly attacked by something instead of being caught with no stamina. Now I suppose that this mod is a bit of a cheat mod considering what it does, but to me it is more of a time saving mod and is a more balanced option than using the Accurate Attack mod. Ill look into thoes texture mods.

The speed and stam one ill probably skip on, i make a habbit of keeping fatigue potions handy and movement speed is fast enough for me by default.I mentioned earlier what I consier a required alchemy mod.Figured i might as well share it sicne as far as i can tell it isnt on any of the main morrowind mod hosting circlesPurchasable alchemy lab Lets you buy a full set of placable appurati and storage shelves for all vanilla and Expansion pack ingredients. It you can also atomaticly pull ingredients from storage based on specific effectBasicly as abusable as alchemy was this mod removes any and all tedium.

You get a small chuck of it in the beginning when you place all the parts in a cell (and i suggest saving every step of the way because ive had parts dissappear) but after thats done its GG Dagoth No RE.
