Hi,Lately I'm was testing more and more with EVE-NG and working with INE CCIE R&S v5 workbook. The problem was that the original network diagram and initial configuration files were designed for CSR1000v (directly hosted on an ESXi supervisor) and real switches.
I have that, working great, but is a bit more effort to add a new router if needed, links, etc.So, I've adapted the INE's CCIE R&S v5 topology to fit EVE-NG using vIOS images. Initial configuration files have been also adapted to fit the L2 vIOS port naming convention.You may argue why vIOS and not CSR1000v for the routers, is just because vIOS-L3 images are less resource hungry when compared with CSR. And the vIOS-L2 is just because you may not have physical switches to bundle the virtual and physical one together in one topology.Btw, I'm planning a new topology in EVE-NG using CSR1000v for routers and vIOS-L2 for switches.If you're interested to give it a go or read more about it's on my blog: You can download there the files for EVE-NG topology and initial configuration files. IMO the INE workbook and AT videos for SP are dated and I found them lacking.
Good stuff to practice, but nowhere near as all-encompassing as their R/S track. For L2VPN the best thing you could do is read the config guides, there are no books or other guides out right now that i've found that go over BGP signalling and L2VPN implementation on the ASR platform.Remember that the config section is all virtual (T/S too) but the T/S section can and likely will just make you validate control plane on some questions.
The latest ASR9Kv will run P2P PW, i'd had trouble with H-VPLS implementations mixing CSR1000v and ASR9Kv 6.4 but found workarounds.The Cisco Learning network CCIE SP v4.1 workbook is a great resource and a good value for the cost IMO. Luke Bibby has some good workbooks:There are some bugs in the configs but i found that fun to figure out. After that I got the chance to take the CCIE SP VPN implementation lab at Cisco Live which was helpful.
Certification Step Two: Lab Exam. The CCIE Routing and Switching Lab exam consists of a 2 hour Troubleshooting section, a 30 minute Diagnostic section, and a 5 hour and 30 minute Configuration section. Candidates may choose to borrow up to 30 minutes from the Configuration section and use it in the Troubleshooting section.

- Nov 24, 2015 CCIE RS v5 INE topology. (1) Physical lab - I am going to build a physical lab with the 4 switches (possibly 3750G) + break-out switch + 10 ISR G1 routers (2800, 1800 and 3800) where I can run some form of 15.x code. (2) Virtual lab - I now have VMWare Workstation 12 on my windows 10 laptop. I have the INE lab there on IOU.
